ผมเขียนเรื่องเกี่ยวกับอุปกรณ์เสริมกล้อง Canon V1 เป็นตอนที่ 4 แล้ว ซึ่งเป็นตอนสุดท้าย อุปกรณ์เสริมที่จะแนะนำคือ Cage สำหรับกล้องตัวนี้ จริงๆ แล้ว ผมต้องการหา L-Plate หรือ L-Bracket มากกว่า แต่เท่าที่ค้นมาก็ยังไม่มีบริษัทใดผลิตออกมาขาย ถ้าเป็น Plate ติดฐานกล้องพร้อม Grip ก็มีขายอยู่ ซึ่งผมต้องการมากกว่านั้น คือ ต้องการ Plate ด้านข้างตัวกล้องด้วย เพื่อใช้ถ่ายภาพหรือวิดีโอแนวตั้งโดยวาง Plate บน Tripod แต่อุปกรณ์ Cage ตัวนี้ ก็พอจะนำมาประยุกต์ให้เป็น L-Plate ได้อยู่
Specs คร่าวๆ สำหรับ Cage ยี่ห้อ Yanzuo (颜左) อ่านเป็นภาษาจีนว่า ‘เหยียนจั่ว’ ซึ่งผลิต Cage สำหรับกล้องออกมาหลายรุ่นแล้ว แต่แบรนด์นี้ยังไม่ได้เป็นที่คุ้นเคยกันมากนักในระดับสากล Cage ตัวนี้ น้ำหนักเบาเพียง 126 กรัม วัสดุเป็น Anodized Aluminum ส่วนประกอบทุกชิ้นสามารถถอดออกได้ ถ้าถอดส่วนประกอบด้านข้างออก ให้เหลือแต่ Grip กับ Base plate ก็มีน้ำหนักเพียง 74 กรัม เท่านั้น ถ้าหากต้องการใช้งานในลักษณะ L-Plate ก็สามารถใช้ Plate เล็กๆ หมุนติดเข้ากับส่วนประกอบด้านข้างของ Cage ได้ การใช้ Cage ตัวนี้ เราสามารถกางจอ LCD ออกได้เต็มที่ ที่ด้านบนของ Cage ยังมี Cold shoe และรูสำหรับใส่อุปกรณ์เพิ่มเติมได้ ซึ่งเป็นคุณสมบัติของ Cage ทุกยี่ห้ออยู่แล้วที่เน้นการใช้งานด้านวิดีโอ นอกจากนี้ ที่ด้านฐานของ Cage เป็นแบบ Arca Swiss เมื่อติดตั้งเข้ากับตัวกล้อง มันไม่ได้บล็อกช่องแบตเตอรี่/SD card แต่อย่างใด Cage รุ่นนี้ผลิตออกมา 2 สี คือ สีดำและสีเงินไททาเนียม
ความเห็นของผมมองในภาพรวม Yanzuo cage ไม่น่าจะใช่ Full cage น่าจะเป็น 3/4 cage ใส่กับกล้องแล้วใช้ประโยชน์ได้หลายอย่าง เราสามารถติดตั้งอุปกรณ์ต่างๆ เพิ่มเติมได้เยอะแยะ ดังภาพตัวอย่างด้านล่าง
นอกจากตัว Cage แล้ว Yanzou ยังผลิตเฉพาะ Base plate ออกมาขายด้วย ตัว Plate มียางกันรองด้านบน ป้องกันไม่ให้มีรอยขีดข่วนบริเวณใต้กล้องเมื่อนำมาประกบกัน ซึ่งอย่างกันรองนี้ดูดีกว่ายางกันรองของ Cage ด้วยซ้ำ หากมองถึงประโยชน์ของ Plate นี้ น่าจะมีเพียงป้องกันรอยขีดข่วนที่อาจเกิดขึ้นได้กับบริเวณใต้กล้อง และช่วยเพิ่มบริเวณ Grip ของกล้องให้ยาวเพิ่มขึ้นอีก 1.2 ซม. น้ำหนักเพียง 39.6 กรัม หากจะถอดส่วนประกอบของ Cage แล้วเหลือแต่ฐาน Plate ก็ทำได้เหมือนกัน แต่มันดูไม่สวยงามเท่ากับ Base plate ที่เขาออกแบบมาโดยเฉพาะ

Canon V1 Accessories
I’ve now written the last part of my series about Canon V1 camera accessories. The accessory that I introduce this time is the cage for this camera.
Actually, I was looking for an L-plate or L-bracket instead, but as far as I’ve searched, no company has produced one yet. There are some base plates with grips available, but I wanted something more—specifically, a side plate for vertical photo or video shooting when mounting the plate on a tripod. However, you can adapt and use this cage as an L-Plate to some extent.
The cage is from the brand Yanzuo. Yanzuo has already released several cage models for different cameras, though it’s not yet well-known internationally.
This cage is lightweight, weighing only 126.4 grams or 4.45 ounces. The cage uses anodized aluminum for its material. All parts are detachable. If you remove the side components and keep only the grip and base plate, the weight drops to just 74 grams or 2.6 ounces.
If you want to use it as an L-plate, you can attach a small plate to the side part of the cage. With this cage, you can fully flip out the LCD screen. On top of the cage, there is a cold shoe and mounting holes for additional accessories—standard features for any video-oriented cage.The base of the cage is Arca-Swiss compatible, and it does not block the battery/card compartment. The cage comes in two color options: black and titanium.
I feel the Yanzuo cage isn’t a full cage; it’s more like a 3/4 cage. Once mounted on the camera, it offers a lot of flexibility for adding accessories, as shown in the sample images below.
Besides the cage, Yanzuo also makes a separate base plate. This base plate has a rubberized top layer to prevent scratches on the underside or the sole of the camera when mounted. The rubber padding on this plate is actually neater than that on the cage.
As for the plate’s function, it mainly prevents scratches and extends the length of the grip by 1.2 cm. It weighs only 39.6 grams or 1.39 ounces.
You can also detach parts of the cage and use only the base plate, but it doesn’t look as refined as the base plate designed for that purpose.
