I have been to Hong Kong more than 20 times, but that doesn’t mean that I particularly like the city. Normally, I don’t enjoy visiting crowded places. However, when I lived in Guangzhou for 4 years, I often went to Hong Kong because I wanted to buy certain frozen food items and needed a change of scenery.
This time, while I was staying in Shenzhen in September 2026, I thought, “Why not visit Hong Kong again?”
I worked in China for almost 11 years, living in 3 different cities: Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Nanning. Guangzhou is my favorite city because of its location. I can easily travel to Hong Kong or Macau in just 1.5 to 2 hours .
Anyway, on this trip to Shenzhen, I only had a short time to visit Guangzhou. It was my last day in China. I took a train from Shenzhen in the late morning and returned to Shenzhen in the evening to board a flight from Shenzhen Bao’an Airport to Bangkok that night.
