DJI Osmo Pocket 3 was a handheld gimbal camera for bloggers and a casual video shooting. For me, I think it’s the gadget of the year. DJI launched the Osmo Pocket 3 at the end of 2023, and it became highly demanded by many content creators. I’m not a content creator, but I really wanted this camera, so I bought it. The reasons comprise its portability, 1-inch CMOS censor, and especially a built-in gimbal that enabling me to shoot stable and smooth video. No questions about its video quality. It can record 4K footage at up to 120 fps in slow motion mode.
How about the photo shooting quality of this camera? DJI didn’t prioritize the still pictures of the camera when they designed this product for video shooting. The Pocket 3 can produce the image of only 9.4 MP, which is quite low in today’s standard.
To sum up, for casual and social photography, the quality of DJI Pocket 3 photos is quite good, though the resolution is 3,840×2160 with a 16:9 aspect ratio. I used this camera shooting the photos below with auto mode and made no adjustments except resizing them for my website format.
