Close-up photography differs slightly from macro photography. Close-up photograph shows the subject closer. Macro photograph shows the subject much closer and more detail by using the macro lens. We can say that macro photography is a super close-up photography. In shooting close-up photos, you can use any lens that can focus closer than normal. But in shooting macro photos, it’s essential to use a true macro lens which has the capability of magnifying the subject at least a 1:1 magnification. Though I have a macro lens but I’m not the type of person who likes to walk around in the bush and looking for insects, ants, worms, bugs or other small creatures. Anyway, I used my macro lens in some pictures illustrated below.
