Abstract Photography

According to the online English dictionary, the meaning of ‘Abstract’ is “Relating to or denoting art that does not attempt to represent external reality, but rather seeks to achieve its effect using shapes, colours, and textures.” The Collins Cobuild English Language Dictionary states that “Abstract art is a style of art which uses shapes and patterns to represent things, people, and ideas rather than showing people or things as they actually look.” Therefore, abstract photography is a photograph of something that does not represent what it actually is. It is something that is non-representational. Each viewer may interpret or view the same picture differently. Here are some of the abstract photos from my portfolio.
